Cladco Frame Protection Deck Tape
Cladco frame protection deck tape is designed to help extend the life of your timber decking substructure by providing a long-lasting barrier against moisture, rot, and weathering.
This self-sealing, non-butyl tape can be easily applied to the top surface of timber decking joists as well as around fasteners and on exposed cut ends, before laying your decking boards. Once applied, the tape forms a watertight and airtight seal to protect key areas from water ingress.
Manufactured for performance and convenience, Cladco deck tape is UV-stable, easy to tear by hand, and residue-free. It can also be applied in damp or freezing conditions, and repositioned as needed during installation.
Featuring a permanent adhesive bond, the tape is designed to last for up to 50 years without losing strength or peeling - making it a reliable long-term solution for protecting your decking framework.

How Much Deck Tape Do I Need?
Cladco deck tape should be applied along the top surface of each timber joist, as well as around fixings and fasteners, and over any exposed cut ends of timber within the subframe.
As a general guide, we recommend allowing one roll (20m) of deck tape for every 6m² of decking. This equates to approximately one roll for every ten 4m decking boards. Please note that this estimate is based on a single-joist subframe with 400mm spacing, and actual requirements may vary depending on your deck layout.
Please note that this calculation is approximate only and is based on a single-joist subframe with 400mm spacing.
