Benefits of Cladco Deck Tape
Use Cladco self-sealing, non-butyl frame protection Deck Tape to seal your timber decking joists. Deck Tape is repositionable and provides a long-lasting adhesive bond to prevent moisture damage and weathering to a timber decking substructure.
Easy-tear Decking Tape is UV-stable and quick to use, providing a water and airtight seal without leaving residue. Apply to the surface, around fasteners or exposed cut ends of timber joists, before installing decking boards, to create a moisture-tight seal.
Cladco Deck Tape has a permanent adhesive bond for up to 50 years without losing strength or peeling. This will extend the lifespan of your timber decking frame, preventing the wood from rot damage over time.

How much Deck Tape will I need?
Deck Tape is applied to the top surface, between fixings and fasteners and treated timber and exposed ends of timber supporting joists under your decking area.
To calculate how much Deck Tape you’ll require, first calculate the square meterage of your overall decking area and use the below guide:
For every 6m2 of decking, allow one roll of 20m Deck Tape for the supporting substructure (approximately, one roll of Deck Tape for every ten 4m Decking Boards).
Please note, the above calculation is approximate only and is based upon a single joist subframe with 400mm spacing).
