Fibre cement is a versatile material made using a blend of cement, clay, iron, and limestone to form the base of each board. Sand is added for extra strength and weather resistance, while cellulose fibres are included to enhance internal durability. Water and specific additives are then used to activate the mixture and bind all components together, resulting in a strong, long-lasting cladding solution.
Advantages of fibre cement wall cladding include:
Woodgrain-effect design – Available in a range of colours and an unpainted option. Each coloured board features a textured woodgrain finish, with three baked-on paint layers for added durability and depth.
Easy to install – Designed for horizontal installation with a feather-edge look and a 30mm overlap between each board.
Minimal upkeep – Manufactured with enhanced durability, the boards do not need to be sanded, varnished or painted.
Resistance – Due to their composition, our fibre cement cladding boards are resistant to rot, insect infestation and water.
Boards can be cut to fit around windows and doors, however, safety regulations must be followed. When cutting Cladco fibre cement boards, only use a wet saw and wear a level P3 respirator.
If your fibre cement cladding boards become scratched at any point, don’t worry, we offer a range of touch-up paints designed to provide an exact colour match and help conceal any visible marks for a clean, consistent finish.
We supply a range of colour-matched aluminium trims to finish off your Fibre Cement Wall Cladding project. Learn more about the features of Cladco fibre cement wall cladding here.
Cladco 3.6m fibre cement lap cladding boards should always be stored in a cool, dry and shaded area, on a flat, level surface and fully supported until installation.

Our range of trims for fibre cement lap cladding includes:
Symmetric external corner trims - Designed to fit on the corners of the building, fibre cement wall cladding boards are installed to the flat edges of the external corner trim.
Single & double connection trims - Installed to the inside edges of window reveals and door frames to support cladding boards.
Perforated closures - Installed under the battens at the base of the build, or at the top of any doors and windows, to ensure ventilation throughout the installation. A perforated closure protects the build from any dirt or animals entering the airflow space.
Starter trims - Installed at the start of the first run of boards at the base of the building.
Internal corner trims - Used in the internal corners of a building for a neat and seamless finish.
Wall end trims - Installed on the finishing edges to conceal exposed ends of the fibre cement cladding boards.
Asymmetric external corner trims - Install asymmetric trims on external corners around doors or windows to create a finished edge between walls and reveals.
